This tower blind was designed using 4x4 posts for the quad base and 2x4 verticle posts for the shooting house covered with plywood to make the side walls. The design provides maximum viewing area and good shelter from the elements. See completed stand in the following image....

Tower Blind Overlooking Food Plots

This tower blind was built using 4x4 posts and plywood sides. The stand is positioned over shooting lanes, food plots and offers an excellent view in several directions. Hunting from a tower blind is great on bad weather days as well as in good weather. Relax and enjoy watching wildlife, and the beauty of nature at it's best!

Tower Blind Construction Step 1

The tower blind floor is built using 2x4 pressure treated lumber. Cut lengths to size using a power miter saw for accurate and square cuts. Nail together using 3" galvanized nails.

Tower Blind Construction Step 2

The tower blind floor is covered using a pressure treated 4x6 sheet of plywood secured with 2" galvanized nails and heavy duty exterior liquid nails construction adhesive.

Tower Blind Construction Step 3

The tower blind floor is assembled and ready for the next step. This is a good time to add on some "Elevator" 8x8 Blind Brackets made by Shadow Hunter.

Tower Blind Construction Step 4

The rest of the plywood is cut to make the 4 walls of the blind. Be sure to consider using window cut outs sized to match the silent windows designed by Shadow Hunter. The side walls are 6 feet high and the end wall is cut with a 30 degree slope with a peak dimension of 86 inches. The next step is to layout and draw the window cut outs. To be continued......
