Trail Camera Tips and Helpful
Hints
Elevate the camera above the animals - pointing down on the desired
area to reduce spooking the deer in an area you plan to hunt.
Clear the area in front of the camera of any vegetation to limit false
triggers from the wind moving branches and limbs.
Position trail cameras looking north or south. If faced into the rising
and setting sun the light will wash out the pictures triggered at those
times.
Point cameras looking down a trail rather than across the trail.
The deer may have moved past the camera by the time the camera is
triggered.

We are
counting 6 points on this buck and maybe next year he will be thicker,
taller and wider!
|

|
Another
shot of the 6 point shown above. He does not seem to be camera
shy!
|

|
This
big boy has his nose in the air - providing the perfect pose for our
game camera. He is well outside the ears and there is plenty of
character in that rack!
|

|
A 10
point steps out for an early October photo shoot! Look at the
spread on those main beams!
|

|
This
buck is getting in a good workout on a favorite rub. What a great
photo of a buck in action!
|

|
| This
trail cam photo from last year may be the same deer as shown
above. This photo was taken in the winter and the photo above was
taken in September with the deer in velvet. |

|
This
is another shot of the same deer from the previous winter.
|

|
A
mature buck on the alert. This trail cam picked him on his way to
a patch of clover and his favorite rub. He was traveling with a
doe and yearling.
