History:
This company was initiated when the owner bought an M-16, and wanted to load .223 ammo progressively, but it wasn’t possible to do it with existing tools. So he went to a machinist and came up with a way to make it work.  He then developed a kit so other reloaders could convert their existing reloading machines.

Soon he decided to design and make his own reloader. The RL-1000 was the first full-fledged Dillon Precision product. In the begining the were manufactured out of his garage, then they moved to a small shop. He started the company on a $30,000 loan.

Rapid growth in the reloading industry coincided with the growth spurt in action pistol shooting.  They now have hundreds of years of widely varying reloading experience available in-house.
